Recording of Fading Fast Biography
January 9, 2005-November 27, 2005
On January 9, 2005 we finally made it to the studio. We laid down the first rough mix of Wanna Get To Know You at Real Life Music in the North
Hills, (Thanks Dan!!!!). For those of you who have been following us, this is probably going to be the title track to the CD. We will keep you updated
throughout the recording process. As of now we are looking at 11 original songs for our debut CD.
February 12, 2005, Back to Real Life Music Studio for Rick and Jim. A very productive day!!! Jim and Rick laid down the Guitar,
Bass, and first Vocal Tracks for Miss You. Once completing this we were able to lay down the Scratch Tracks for all but 2 originals,
Very Productive!! Thanks to Dan for putting up with us for so many hours!!!! We will start laying tracks to at least one of them this week.
February 23, 2005, Its a Guitar night at Real Life Music Studio!!! Rick, Jim, and Dan from Real Life, decided to lay down 2 original songs tonight
doing the guitars first. Starting with Fading Fast, Jim laid down his parts then it was decided to do Must Be a Reason. After some timing adjustments
when Jeff arrived, Jim laid the Guitar tracks down and we decided to dedicate next week to Bass tone and lay some Bass Tracks.
March 16, 2005 ; Jim, Jeff, Rick from Neutral Loss, along with Dan from Real Life Music at the studio this week. This week was
devoted to Jimmy and some Guitar Tracks. Tonight Jim laid down the Tracks for In Your Head, and For Me sounds very good, final
mix should be very powerful once it is mixed down. Next week we probably will do more Guitar Tracks or try to lay all the Bass Tracks
down. As a side note if you are not doing anything the night before Easter why not go to the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern and check out
Dan Hunt preform with Further Down the Road. Show starts at 10 p.m.
March 23, 2005 ; Jim, Jeff, and Rick at the studio for Jimmy to finish For Me and to lay down Don't Close Your Eyes. Sounds
extremely tight!!! The Guitar Tracks are almost done, hopefully next week we will complete them and move on to completing the Bass!!!!
Once again many thanks to Dan Hunt at Real Life Music for another productive night. As a side note everyone keep your eyes open
for Dans band Further Down The Road. Go check them out. A kick ass acoustic show!!!
April 6, 2005 ; Jim, Jeff, and Rick at the studio and Jimmy completed the Guitar Tracks for the CD. One final track for Don't Close
Your Eyes, and completion of Lessons From the Young, Down Town, and By Myself. It was an extremely productive night and now
we can finish the Bass with Rick and then move on to Jeff on the Drums!!! Many thanks to Dan for a very productive night.
April 23, 2005 ; Rick, Jeff, and Jim back at Real Life Music. Time For Drums!!!!! After about 2 hours of dialing things in Jeff was
ready to lay Drum Tracks. By the time Rick and Jim arrived Jeff and Dan were laying them down. When all was said and done Jeff
completed .... Miss You, Wanna Get to Know You, Change, and just needs to touch up Fading Fast, and Must be a Reason. Jeff
will definitely be able to get them done at the next recording and hopefully a few more. Thanks Dan For a long Saturday!!
April 26, 2005 ; Rick, Jeff, and Jim with Dan at Real Life Studio to lay down more Drum Tracks. After touching up Fading Fast and Must Be A
Reason, Jeff completed ; Downtown, By Myself, Don't Close Your Eyes Forever, In Your Head. This leaves two more songs for the Drums
and 5 for the Bass then all vocals. Once we do the next 2 weeks of shows then we will go back to the studio to wrap these up. Later!!!
May 18, 2005: The whole gangs back at Real Life Music Studio after a 2 week hiatus. Time to finish the Drums!!!! Jeff had two songs to lay down,
Lessons From The Young and For Me. In less than an hour they were both done and so are the Drum Tracks for the CD. Rick then laid down the
Bass tracks for By Myself, Downtown, and For Me. Only 2 more Bass Tracks and it is on to Vocals. Hopefully we will complete the Bass next
week and start the Vocals (fingers crossed). Thank you goes out to Dan Hunt once again for a productive night, and also to Dan and Alicia for
opening for us at The James Street on the 14th.
May 25, 2005: Last Night For Bass!!! We finished the last two songs on Bass, Don't Close Your Eyes and Lessons From The Young. Rick
also was able to get a good start on the vocal tracks of In Your Head. Now we can just concentrate on laying down vocal tracks then the mixing. We
are getting to the home stretch. Thanks again has to go to Dan Hunt at Real Life Music for his time
patience and input. We think the final product is going to kick ass but I guess we will see.
June 1, 2005: Vocals have officially begun!!!!! Rick laid down the rest of the Vocal Tracks for In Your Head. This song is one of our heavier
songs and now with the vocals added it is getting pretty thick, the final mix should be killer. The band is taking a break from the studio for a week to
get our ideas together for the Station Square Street Jam, as far as what songs we want to do, If any of you have suggestions on something we do
that you want to hear E Mail us. That show is scheduled for August 19, 2005. See our home page for all the info. Later !!!!!!
June 22, 2005: More Vocals from Rick, Fading Fast, Must be a Reason, Don't Close Your Eyes were laid down. The backing vocals will all be
laid at a later date, but its getting closer!!!!!
June 29, 2005: Rick redid Fading Fast and added a little different ending track that should end the song strong. Rick also laid down Change and
started on Lessons From The Young, only one more lead vocal track for Rick and its time for backing vocals. Again Thanks to Dan at Real Life
Music for a productive night!!!!
July 7, 2005: Jeffs Night!!!!! Jeff finally got his shot at the mic. He completed Downtown, For Me, and By Myself to wrap up his three lead
vocals. Rick also laid down his parts in For Me. Hopefully after next week only backing vocals will be left. Then comes the MIXING!!!!!!

show and the CD Fading Fast. Your opinions mean a lot to us and we love getting the feedback. Now the important stuff...
Thank You!! To the Hard Rock who did a terrific job keeping everything together (including Zoo, and Jaime on the board) ,
Further Down the Road who did a great opening set to get the crowd pumped (keep an eye out for them), Dan Hunt at Real
Life Studio for without his hard work there would not have been a CD to release, to Kirstan who busted her ass and did a
great job (once again) with all of the promo items, to Lisa, Nicole, and Lisa for being there on this special night and
supporting us throughout this project, and most importantly, to all of you that came to the show and supported us now, and
