Well for starters I guess that I should
preface this by saying that I was a
Rhythm Guitarist turned Bass player.
I never really wanted to play the Bass,
that is until I learned the instrument.
I started playing the Guitar at about the age of 14, taking lessons
at a small music store called North Country Music in Richland
Township. After about 2 years of taking lessons I began working
behind the counter and giving beginner guitar lessons. It had
always been a dream of mine to work in music so it was a good gig
for me at that age, always having the hope to play in a band. That
all seemed lost a few years later when I lost a fight with a table
saw, cutting all 5 digits on my right hand. For many years after the
saw incident I kept messing with guitars and figured that I would
just enjoy playing for fun, or at parties, even though I still wanted
to play in a working band. Everything changed in November of
2000 when Jeff and I were tossing a couple down and Jeff told me
that he and Jimmy had been playing for years but could never find
a bass player that stuck around. After a rental from P&S, and
learning a couple songs, Here We Are....... I still have a lot to
learn, but now I consider myself a bass player/rhythm guitarist. I
never knew what I was missing. Oh by the way... The years of
singing in the shower paid off also.
